No experience is required to fly Tandem and after a brief introduction to the basics you can be soaring above the earth.
Depending on what sort of thrill seeker you are, you can choose either Paragliding or Hang Gliding or other variations including Parapenting and water take offs and landings!
Paragliders are inflatable wings and the pilot sits in a harness suspended below the wing by 4 - 5 rows of lines, the last of which is the brake line. The pilot steers by pulling on the lines.
Hang Gliders are gliders where the pilot is suspended in a harness below the glider at its centre of gravity. By moving your body backwards and sideways, the glider can climb and steer.
Various locations around NZ offer summer flights and some can offer winter flying also.
